HG Masurao WIP 3

the head unit.. the design of the head is quite special.. the helm is a bit similar to Marasai or Sazabi yet inside which is the face was the Flag's face.. as Mr.Bushido a.k.a Graham is going to train himself in some Samurai style.. even his MS head design is similar to Samurai's helm as well..


the red color part( i don't what is it called or should i just call it as fin) is very very very loose when it attached.. what should i do? use glue on it?.. mm

HG Masurao WIP 2

the chest unit.. like i said.. this small skinny kit that come in 1/144 scale also come with a lot of part like those HGUC.. the structure of the body some how have some similarity with astray.. especially on the area that use to attach the shoulder's joint to the chest..



can someone thell what the use of the tail.. these are the part that i forgot to place with the first pictures.. common mistake when showing the parts..
look nice right.. but it can't stand straight alone without wait unit..
the back of it where the Tao GN drive store the back have the shape that similar to gadess series MS.. the escape pod..

at first i thought this Masurao also come with twin drive that store at the shoulders when it forst appear in the show because of the shape of the shoulders does look like GN drive.. but i was so wrong.. never mind.. even with one GN drive.. the pilot skill is good enough which not like the coward Reborn that always depend on his special innovator power and mobile suit..

Remember the capsule toys?

So.. people that have their childhood during 90s.. and especially in Malaysia.. i'm sure you have saw a lot of those capsule toys vending machine outside the grocery shop.. first it start with the vending machine that selling shining dragon ball card at Rm 0.40.. then more different types of toys like figure from the character of dragon ball, car, torchlight, laser light, digimon pokemon, transformer and even the sd gundam figure from 0079 series.. prices are vary from RM 0.20 to RM 2.. so much of stuff from the capsule vending machine.. during the 90s, the quality of this capsule toys was so high.. i remember those transformers that i bought come with very high quality plastic and also metal screw.. even the coloring is pretty good as well.. as compare to nowadays capsule toys bought outside toy's r us and some other hobbyshop.. most of it come in bad shape and proportion which looks like imitation toys from the origin.. and it cost at RM 4 per capsule (roughly more than 100 yen).. some of the capsule toys today may still come in good quality, accurate on color and proportion as well.. but too bad that is too rare to find and quite costly..

i remember that i have lot of collection during that time.. i collect figure from pokemon, digimon (my favorite) and transformers.. but i have no idea where i keep them now.. most of it is either gave to my cousin or my aunt's son when i'm in secondary school.. i use to collect them all during my primary school at the place i wait for school bus after school..
recently i saw some of the old style vending machine is selling capsule toys for SD Sangokuden series.. bout the quality.. refer to the photos.. it can't even stand straight!!!
i bought this few days ago for RM 0.50.. i plan to get another one but my second RM0.50 got stuck so i'm just leave it..
we use to called those capsule as egg and when we going to purchase those capsule toys.. we will say "转鸡蛋" whic pronoun as Zhuǎn jī dàn means turn the egg out.. the machine will tell you why you need to turn it out..

Garage kits and plastic model kit (Tatsu Hobby)

So.. anyone know the difference in between the garage kits and plastic model kits?.. i will explain here but correct me if i'm wrong..

first.. let me explain the plastic model kit.. plastic model kit normally release and manufactured by those large manufacturers that work together with the plastic model kits origin designers such as Bandai, Kotobukiya, and others.. it come in various scale such as 1/1400 (for those Battle ships), 1/200 (such as speed grade), 1/144 (NG and HG), 1/100 (HG and MG), 1/60 (NG or PG) and also 1/48(megasize).. there are a lot more i think.. the production is fast.. usually it is easy to get one from anywhere especially the latest release kit (for old kit, sorry, it depend on which one you looking for).. got amazing (sometimes not that amazing) boxart and all the parts are attach to the runners (means the parts need to be cut it out and there will be a lot of nub marks!!! ).. prices for plastic model kit is not that high and the competition of the market of plastic model kit is quite high which most dealer that sell plastic model kit offers a lot of discount or freebies for plastic model kit..

Garage kits.. it is also the kit that base on the original design of the plastic model kits.. so why it called garage kit? it is because garage kit is normally modify from some professional modeler by using some high quality material such as resin to build and scratch out the kit.. and those professional modeler sell the kit (sometime just the part such as conversion kit) that they made.. due to most of the garage kits is either hand made or manufacturer by small producers (such as G-system, VP-model and others).. due to the production require a lot of works, the production somehow quite slow and those kits are quite high (compare to the plastic model kit) but the quality, proportion and the design is truly amazing (worth the value) .. Garage kits also come in various kind of scale.. some plastic model kit that not available in certain scale also available in garage kits.. isn't that great? most of the garage kit (such as conversion which need a plastic model kit as the foundation) need to be painted because it may only come in one color (such as beige color).. you may need some skill to construct a garage kit..


the parts from garage kit normally doesn't come with the runners and it only come in simple design boxart..

Finally i get this kit.. i was planning to get this kit before it release when i saw the news.. i saw the 1/100 resin kit before and the cost only less than $60.. i was planning to get that too.. but i'm just can't cover the shipping fees..

mm.. i always like the character of the Graham Aker in Gundam OO series for both season.. the only pilot that don't like to use any gundam to defeat gundam.. a pilot that depend more on own skill than the power of the mobile suit.. no matter what.. hold the principle of using flag as the base of his mobile suit.. the battle of Graham and Eins at the first season is one of the coolest battle.. follow by the battle in between GN Flag with Exia and this.. Masurao and OO raiser.. he is the toughest opponent against gundam.. somehow he have lose at the last battle.. there are only few scene that show Masurao.. and he just remind me of Rau le Creuset which is only fight for his own reason and also have a very strong skill in piloting mobile suit..

alright.. enough for the pilot of the suit.. as far as know from the Gundam OO series.. this suit have very few weapon such as double (heat or beam) sword.. that all for the weapon?.. it able to activate trans-arm with it Tao GN drive thank to Graham's friend( the one with white long hair and modify MS for Graham) which i also forget the name.. and the mobility of this MS is just tremendously quick.. a mobile suit that truly depend on the skill of pilot with minimum number of weapon that focus on melee battle and high mobility..

but as what we can see at the normal standing pose of this kit is just not dynamic enough..
this HG kit is highly depend on the post and angle in order to make it look good.. reason is because some proportion of this kit is a bit bulk and short.. such as the chest or body should be longer and the feet should be sharper..


it gt total of six runners.. quite a lot of part for this thinny kit..the tail come together and only two foil stickers?..


so what do i plan for this kit?

-will try to see what minor detail i'm able to add.
-gloss coat (majority on black color area)

and thats all.. not planning to re-paint this kit since the the color that come with this kit is just.. enough.. only minor detailing is needed..
