MG Zeta plus A1 WIP 2

DAMN!!! i think i have few days not update my blog due to work again.. Pikom PC fair start today and i'm so tired.. i was working at Low Yat Plaza (an IT mall which also quite famous for gunpla trading stuff over there) before the day Pikom PC fair start.. have to wake up early and work until like about ten something.. stress, fun and tired.. i need to be there for 3 days at hall 4 for selling.. Canon again..

so.. not much time to complete this kit and prepare for painting eventhough the paint is ready to spray.. lets check about the hand of this kit..

alright.. old MG like this will normally start assemble from the arm.. then leg.. then head.. chest.. backpack.. weapons and complete..

so this the hand now.. basically it doesn't come with inner frame inside the arm.. not same as the MG Zeta ver.2 at all.. simple and lesser part.. no individual finger and clip at the palm for weapon.. an old kit.. what can we expecting for.. thats all..

MG Zeta plus A1 WIP 1

so.. lets start with the runners.. total of 15 runners here.. i guess it just not enough for an MG since most of the runner was so small in size.. like the MG Nu-gundam.. most of the parts are quite big in size..






like beam saber in clear light blue color.. just like the one in MG Hi-Nu gundam.. look at the polycap runners.. last kit i build was MG Unicorn which doesn't have any polycap part but this come with A LOT OF POLYCAPS PARTS!!!



the left hand side of the manual.. kind like poster.. mm.. only exist on old MG kit which before around 2004..

MG Zeta plus A1 arrived!!!

i told myself to stop buying gunpla this month.. DAMN!!! i've been looking for this kit for few month and when the month that come to save money.. it appeared.. without considering anything.. grab it and pay at the cashier.. got the price at RM 126!!! even its not at my desire price but it still quite acceptable.. i thought i want to get two of it when i was at the shop and the aunt (the mom of the shop keeper "time machine" i guess ) told me too.. but look at the wallet and considering this month budget.. the second unit will come next month.. the reason i want to get two of this kit is to make the other one paint with blue color on the red color parts.. great idea leh.. hope they still have it..

basically it is an old MG.. i was expecting it have the articulation as good as the MG Zeta ver.2 since the structure of Zeta doesn't change much and the major design not change also.. but when i look more at the box art.. i realized it actually same design as the MG Zeta ver.1 but not MG Zeta ver.2 .. i was like.. OMG!!! fine!!!




when i look at the box.. the white color was shining.. and there are two color i think to use.. glossy white or the pearl white..



alright.. the white color is not exactly white.. a bit of yellow actually.. my mind said.. paint it with white.. glossy white, pearl white or flat white..

can't find either pearl white or glossy white as i decided to use but found flat white.. tested it today.. pretty good.. and the surfaces are matte.. damn.. i like it..

alright.. look at the action pose from the boxart.. the first picture which holding the beam saver.. look familiar.. it was the same pose with MG Regz at its boxart..

nice pose and it really freak me out.. why.. this is an old MG and same design as the MG Zeta ver.1 .. then MG Regz is an old MG and have the SAME POSE!!! which i thought that is a great pose.. the major problem i had from my MG Regz was the articulation especially the leg joint.. alright.. here is the story.. the MG Regz have ball joint type for legs and.. the polycap inside the pelvis was stay to inside for the ball joint to reach.. end up.. the legs just can't open wide at to 90 degree for each leg.. not even 45 degree if i'm not remember wrong.. and guess what..

i'm on the assemble part of the leg unit now for this kit now.. that god damn polycap was stay quite inside the pelvis TOO!!!.. dynamic photo??? er.. can't say anything here..

MG Unicorn

one month to complete the whole thing.. 3 days for photo session.. 2 days for editing and upload to here.. another crazy kit that i spend a lot of my effort to complete it.. the kit itself was not that crazy as MG sinanju but this is the second kit that made me crazy.. the first one was MG sinanju..

matte top coat effect looks not that obvious here.. maybe it due to my editing style has just hide it.. using just normal IXUS compact camera.. must do some editing to make the picture look a bit more interesting.. i took some of the shots few times and post it here due to some different angle and lighting/contrast.. i'm just like them all.. i know that will be abit boring here..

yup.. the posing ability was so limited.. but i do like to use the unicorn mode to post more than destroy mode.. the unicorn mode for this kit was smaller.. as for the destroy mode.. those sliding armor that make it transform feel like very fragile.. so cant move them much to make more post.. pink laser beam saber.. mm feel abit special here.. so.. did't plan to change other color for this..

do notice some of the decal was.. er.. spoil.. not realize it until i took some close up shots.. zzz.. i broke the V-fin once actually.. then i sand it to glue it back but only realize that the place i sand was shorten the width of left fin to the centre part.. and it was after the gold paint was done.. DAMN!!!.. so.. have to add a little bit part (kind of wood actually) and e-glue again.. and add a little bit of the gold gundam marker color on it.. and.. the left fin just look a bit weird over there.. zzz..
